On June 14, 2012 the Manitoba Legislature passed The Election Financing and Elections Amendment Act (Bill 33), which entitles registered political parties to an annual allowance to defray some of their administrative and certain operating costs. The Act eliminates the previous annual per-vote subsidies to political parties.
